What is prohibited
On Pimble, in any way, it is prohibited to:
- share images, text or links that show, describe or offer child sexual abuse material (CSAM) or the sexual exploitation of minors;
- approach a minor sexually, ask for or send sexual messages or images, or move a minor to another platform for that purpose (grooming);
- pressure or blackmail a minor with images (sextortion);
- pretend to be younger as an adult to contact minors, or use the app while under 16.
Sexual content and sexual advances are not allowed for anyone on Pimble, including between adults. See the terms of use.
How Pimble protects minors
- Age limits enforced by the server. People aged 16 or 17 only meet other 16- and 17-year-olds. Adults do not see minors, and minors do not see adults. The server decides this, not the app. The group follows from the date of birth people enter themselves; we do not (yet) ask for an ID document. That is why reporting, below, matters so much.
- Every photo and video is reviewed by a person before anyone else can see it.
- No sexual content, for anyone, and no way to send images in a chat.
- Reporting is always possible: from every profile and in every chat, without a waiting time, even when someone is otherwise blocked from reporting.
How to report
Do you see something that does not belong here, or does someone seem younger than 16?
- Open the profile or the chat.
- Tap the three dots in the feed or in the chat, or Melden of blokkeren (Report or block) on a profile.
- Choose Lijkt jonger dan is toegestaan (seems younger than allowed) or Seksueel getinte inhoud (sexual content), and describe briefly what you saw.
When you report from a chat, we keep a copy of that chat as evidence so a moderator can see what happened. You can also email info@kleijersolutions.nl.
Is someone in immediate danger? Call 112.
What we do
- Hide immediately. A report for these reasons hides the profile right away for the reporter and, with more reporters, for everyone, until a moderator has looked.
- Review within 24 hours, by a person, based on what can be seen.
- Remove and permanently suspend. For child sexual abuse or exploitation we remove the content and suspend the account permanently. That person cannot create a new account with the same Google account.
- Report to the authorities. We report child sexual abuse material to Offlimits (the Dutch hotline) and file a report with the Dutch police. If a child is in danger, we contact the police immediately.
- Preserve evidence as long as an investigation needs it, and hand it over to police or prosecutors on request, within the law.
We comply with Dutch and European law on child protection, including the rules on reporting and removing child sexual abuse material.
